Captain Steve Leopold of the Charterboat "Yabba Dabba Doo" from the Holiday Isle Marina in Islamorada had a banner day fishing these happy anglers on an offshore trip this summer, several large bull and cow dolphin (mahi-mahi) were caught.

Josh Murphree was out fishing recently aboard the "Miss Tradewinds" party boat out of the Whale Harbor Marina and landed this whopper grouper. The Miss Tradewinds is skippered by Captain "P.I." Owens.

Scott Littlefield of Wilmington, NC caught this huge bone fish on Mothers Day out of Bud n Mary's Marina with Capt. Dave Butler of Back Country Fishing.  It weighed 15 lbs  6 oz. and was caught on light tackle using live shrimp.  What a day! 

Tuna Time!

Captain Paul O'Donnel's anglers have got to be worn out after pulling in all these large blackfin tuna! You may find the Captain Paul aboard the "SKIPPER" charterboat based out of the Whale Harbor Marina in Islamorada.

Captain Jonathon Stevens took his Sister Jenny out fishing and landed her this beautiful Dolphin over Easter vacation. The bull was caught off of Islamorada in 300' of water near the offshore humps. Thanks for the photo Jon!

Captain Mike Patterson aboard "Tuff Ship" charters out of the Whale Harbor Marina grabs the bill on this beautiful Sailfish for a quick photo before its release.

Captain Tony DeMoya led these happy guys to a boatload of Snapper and Dolphin aboard his charterboat "No Excuse" out of the Holiday Isle Marina in Islamorada.
The angler holding the big Redfish is Tom Schroeder and behind him, with another 20 # plus Redfish on the end of his line is John Hostasa, both from Columbus, Ohio.  They caught nine big Reds in all on two trips with Captain Russ Pellow of "Rusty IV" charters from the Whale Harbor Marina
On an outing deep into the everglades national park last month, Captain Bill Leonard of "All Keys Charters" led his angler to this whopper Redfish.
Captain Waldo "Double Treble" Tejera Jr. and his crew for the day display a nice catch of Spanish Mackerel they caught on a recent trip into Florida Bay.

Captain Jay Farnam showed these happy anglers a great fishing day recently aboard his charterboat "Double J" based out of Islamorada. The group caught a bunch of nice dolphin and tuna.
Captain Brian Cutchins and his angler prepare to release this nice Jewfish (Goliath Grouper) back into the water at an "undisclosed" location deep into Everglades National Park. Captain Brian runs his skiff "LAID BACK" out of the Holiday Isle Marina.

Mate Ozzy Delgado (pictured) and Capt. Adrain Alexandrino aboard the "Swallow the Leader" out of Miami teamed up to get 6 out of 7 sails in the day at Triumph Reef and this hefty King Mackerel

This rare Black Marlin was caught by Sandy Dobkowski on the "Kingfisher" charterboat with Captain Rick Ruhlow, out of Palya Carrillo, Costa Rica on a recent trip. The captain estimated its weight at about 300 pounds and the fish was released to fight another day.  C.R. "Dick" Royer of Cape May NJ sent us this photo, thanks Rich!
Fishing in the Florida keys Captain Merv Finch led these happy anglers to this beautiful Dolphin (Mahi-Mahi) on a recent trip offshore of Islamorada, Florida Keys. Captain Merv runs the charterboat "REDFISH" from the Holiday Isle Marina.
Anastasia Strelnikova of Moscow Russia was in town last week and went fishing with her step father Stan of the Islamorada Fishing Club. They caught some nice mangrove snapper aboard the Captain Michael partyboat from the Holiday Isle Marina. Anastasia also had a fun trip to Disney world while in Florida.

Captain Russ Pellow sent us some fishing photos recently. Captain Russ runs his charter boat "RUSTY IV" out of the Whale Harbor marina in Islamorada.

The top photo shows Chris Youngblood with a hefty permit caught on 10lb spinning tackle. Nice Job!

The bottom photo shows an angler aboard the Rusty IV with a "Pup" Jewfish, also called the Goliath Grouper.

Nice Dolphin

Captain Steve Stone and his angler show off a nice Dolphin (Mahi - Mahi) before it hits the ice box. The fish was caught aboard Captain Steve's "HONEY DO" charter boat from Islamorada.

Captain Ron Brack invited some friends on a fun fishing day recently and they had an outstanding trip! The group caught loads of Yellowtail, mutton and mangrove snapper as well as a few grouper. Captain Ron is a second generation tournament winning charter Captain here in the Florida Keys. He runs his charterboat "REEL PLEASURE" from the Whale Harbor marina. Word has it that they feasted on some tasty yellowtail that night.

Future hall of fame baseball player Curtis Raymond & his dad Steve caught this nice 23-inch Trout on a recent backcountry trip while fishing with Captain Mike Bassett aboard "Born &  Raised" charters from Whale Harbor marina.

First Hogfish

Proud fisherwoman, Denice Newman, proudly displays her fist hogfish which she caught off of Islamorada.  When not fishing, Denice teaches students at the Key Largo School.  One thing that she holds of interest with her students... you guessed it - FISHING! Denice is a native of Chesterfield, Michigan and happy to reside in Key Largo.

Sailfish On Fly!

Captain Steve Leopold led this happy angler to this beautiful Sailfish on a recent trip offshore of Islamorada. The sail was caught on a fly rod aboard  Captain Steve's charterboat "Yabba Dabba Doo" out of the Holiday Isle Marina.

Clifford Holling of the "The Red Holland Show" on NBC 7 in Panama City, Fl.went fishing recently with Capt. Clark Williams of Talin' Finz Charters and caught this 7.5 pound bonefish on the Oceanside flats of Islamorada. Clifford was using half a Crab on 10 lb test with a floro leader and a 1/0 Gamakatsu hook on a falling tide and
saw quite a few Bones, Sharks, and Barracuda.

What a way to break in a boat!

On one of the first fishing trips aboard his new boat, Jim Grenfell of Islamorada caught and released this beautiful sailfish with the help of Captain Lou Quirch and Richie Feeney on an offshore trip last week.

Irish Tuna

Some Irish Blackfin Tuna Caught off the Islamorada Hump, with orange & green lures on St. Patrick's Day.

Clete Alford caught this 67'  44# dolphin fishing on "Andy Griffiths Charters" out of Key West with Captain Uri Vaskelis.  The bull was caught on 15# test and was entered into the lower keys fishing tournament. The fish was Clete's first Dolphin.
